作者简介：

主！我要遇见你 Lord! I want to meet You

「不管时间多远，感谢神给我许多美丽的音符，顺着圣灵及心中的感动，我创作了很多诗歌，也因此安慰了很多人。」日本京都大学工学博士、曾任大同大学光电所所长、科博馆馆长，现任教授的吴慕乡博士感性地说。

“No matter how far time is, I thank God to give me so many beautiful notes. I write a lot of songs inspired by the Holy Spirit and a touched heart. Those songs comfort many people.” Mu-Shiang Wu, a PhD at Kyoto University, the head of Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering in Tatung University, the curator of science museum, now a professor, emotionally said.

「慕乡！桌上的吐司你别又忘了拿啊！」
才想偷偷溜去上学的吴慕乡，没想到临出门又被妈妈逮住了。他不喜欢吃吐司更不爱喝牛奶，偏偏每天妈妈以营养为名总是强迫他吃，因此每天他能闪则闪、能躲就躲。
留着一头自然卷，从小就相当聪明的吴慕乡有着满脑子的鬼点子。
「唉！你要不要吃吐司啊！请你吃！不过... 考试时要借我看哦！」
可惜，他的聪明总是不用在正途，虽然有着小聪明的他只要随便看看就能考得好成绩，但他总是想着「不劳而获」，除了想办法贿赂同学外，在他担任班长时还因行为失当差点被全班同学罢免。
「到底藏在哪里？哎呀！在哪棵树下？我怎么找不到了呢？」
吴慕乡又在耍小聪明了！为了要看电影，他会骗妈妈要多缴什么钱；又为了要买喜欢的东西，他还把妈妈给他的补习费不但没缴反而藏了起来，上学前，他偷偷地把钱藏在每天上学必经之路的某一棵树下，可能是太匆忙忘了做记号，等到放学他再回到这条路，竟然不记得是埋在哪棵树下，这些林林总总的小勾当，在吴慕乡的小学生活中经常上演着。
直到，他小学毕业要考初中时，遇上了他人生第一个大挫败！
「你们慕乡功课不是很好吗？怎么没考上第一志愿啊？」
耳朵听着客厅里那些三姑六婆议论著这次初中考试的成绩，躲在棉被里的吴慕乡早已不知大哭了几回，原来他虽然小学毕业时领的是校长奖，但或许是太过紧张，此次初中大考的成绩不尽理想，居然差了０.5分导致无法进入第一志愿～新竹一中，跌破了大家的眼镜！父母口里虽然不说，但看到不少街坊邻居不解地热心询问时，妈妈为他解释的神情难掩许多失望和落寞！吴慕乡好难过，一个男生躲在家里哭了好久，也不敢出来见人。
「这次考试失利是我人生中的第一个挫折，也是一个重要的转折点！」
回头想想，吴慕乡真要感谢这次的挫败，因为在小学的他凭借着自己有些许的小聪明，考试时随便准备往往就有好成绩，表面上他是乖小孩，但暗地里却常做些不光明的事，藉由这次的失败正好让他有了反省的机会，痛定思痛之下，他下定决心要好好读书。
「终于，我从国一至高三整整六年，都是班上的第一名。」
初中时考上家乡第二志愿～新竹二中的吴慕乡，开始发奋图强、努力用功，年年拿第一名，后来终于高中如愿考上新竹中学。
吴慕乡庆幸自己没有侥幸、茍且的过一辈子，一次的升学挫败反而成就了以后自信的自己。
「主耶稣！你说，大山可以挪开，小山可以迁移，你的慈爱必不离开我，我是相信你的小孩，现在我数到三，你让我张开眼，就能看见你的奇迹，一、二、三．．．」
初二开始随着妈妈踏进了教会，吴慕乡单纯地相信圣经里的话，虽然他经常误解其中的涵意。例如，看了以赛亚书五十四：10的圣经经节，他就对着房间窗户外的远山摀住了双眼，他做了刚刚的祷告...。
吴慕乡一开始到教会，和其它的孩子一样，或为糖果、或为奖品，但后来他却是深深被教会里的一台破旧的风琴所吸引，这台风琴虽然有些音一弹下去就跳不起来，但它古质的音色及弹琴的快乐丝毫不减吴慕乡对学习弹琴的向往。不敢说是完全无师自通，但似乎有着无形的音乐天赋，很快地他就上手了，不管是风琴、钢琴都难不倒他，不仅可以自编和弦，还可以即兴音乐创作，很快地团契、教会的活动填满了吴慕乡的生活，后来他还索性搬到教会去住，一方面可以安静读书准备考试，一方面又可以经常弹琴、练琴。

 “Mu-Shiang! Don’t forget to take the toast on the table again!”
Mu-Shiang Wu was caught by his mother again when he tried to sneak away to school. He didn’t like toast and he didn’t like to drink milk more. Unfortunately his mother always forced him to eat for the sake of nutrition. So he tried to evade it everyday.
Mu-Shiang Wu, with a naturally curly hair, was quite clever since his childhood so he had a lot of tricks in his head.
“Hi! Do you want to eat toast? I’ll give it to you! But…..You should help me cheat in the examination!”
Unfortunately he didn’t use his wisdom in the right way. Though he could get good scores just studied casually with his small wisdom, he always tried to “reap without sowing”. Except trying to bribe his classmates, he was almost removed to be the chairman of his class by his classmates due to his improper behavior.
”Where do I hide it? Ah! Under which tree? Why can’t I find it anymore?”
Mu-Shiang Wu was trying to play tricks with his small wisdom again! He would cheat his mother for some money to pay for something because he wanted to go to the movies. He hid his tuition fees his mother gave him without paying because he wanted to buy something he liked. He secretly hid the money under certain tree along his way to school. He didn’t make a mark because he was quite hurry. To his surprise he couldn’t remember which tree he buried his money when he came back here again after school. These numerous small plots were always played out in the life of elementary school for Mu-Shiang Wu.
He met the first setback in his life until he graduated from elementary school and took the examination to enter junior high school.
“Isn’t the school work of your Mu-Shiang quite good? Why can’t he be admitted to junior high school with first choice?
Mu-Shiang cried many times hiding under the quilt while listening to the gossips by the despicable women in the living room. Though he got the principal award when he graduated from elementary school, he couldn’t get into the first choice --- Hsin-Chu first junior high school by only 0.5 score. It was quite unexpected for everyone because maybe he was so nervous that his examination scores were not good enough! Though his parents didn’t say anything, it was quite difficult for his mother to hide her disappointment while trying to explain for his son because many neighbors were quite puzzled and kept asking why! Mu-Shiang Wu felt so sad that he just stayed at his home crying and didn’t dare to go out to meet people.
“This examination was the first setback in my life. But it was also a very important turning point!”  
Looking back, Mu-Shiang Wu really should thank this setback. He just casually prepared for the examination and he could get good scores because he had some small cleverness. He was a good boy on the surface, but he did a lot of disgraceful things. He had a chance to make self-examination by this failure. He decided to study very hard by learning from his past mistakes.
 “Finally I was number one in my class from junior first grade to senior third grade for a full six years.”
He was admitted to the second choice --- Hsin-Chu second junior high school in his hometown. He started to work hard and study diligently and he was number one every year. Later he was finally admitted to Hsin-Chu senior high school as his wish.
Mu-Shiang Wu was gratified that he didn’t live his lifetime luckily and carelessly. A setback to enter junior high school helped him achieve full confidence in himself.
“Lord Jesus! You once said the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but Your kindness shall not depart from me. I am a child with faith in You. Now please let me see Your miracle when I open eyes after I count to three. One, two, three….”
Mu-Shiang Wu just simply believed the words in the bible when he started to enter church with his mother since he was in junior second grade although he sometimes misunderstood its real meaning. For example, he just made the above prayer against the mountains outside his room window with his eyes closed after he read verse 10 of chapter 54 in Isaiah….
In the beginning, Mu-Shiang Wu went to church just for candies or prizes like the other children. But instead he was deeply attracted by an old organ in church afterwards. Though some notes of the organ couldn’t jump up after playing, Mu-Shiang Wu yearned for playing that organ because of its ancient quality of sound. It couldn’t say he was self-taught, but it seemed that he could master it with an invisible musical gift. It’s not difficult for him no matter it was organ or piano. Not only he could edit the chords by himself, but he could improvise the songs. Quickly the life of Mu-Shiang Wu was full of activities in fellowship and church. He just simply moved to stay at church afterwards. On one had he could study and prepare the examination quietly, and on the other hand he could practice playing organ or piano very often.
